On July 15, concrete slurry was cast into the formwork to build the slab foundation for the 460-meter-tall tower that is under construction in SIP. The tower and an annex building compose the project called Suzhou Supertall, which is expected to become a new landmark in SIP after its completion.

The project, located at the heart of the central business district on the west bank of Jinji Lake, will cover a land area of about 19,600 square meters, and its total floor area will reach 412,700 square meters.

The design of the tower draws inspiration from petals of flowers, with three vertical column-shaped structures linked by sky bridges and a petal-shaped roof.

The complex will integrate catering, business and tourist services. It will reshape the lakeside skyline together with Suzhou Center, the Gate of the Orient and other nearby iconic buildings, and add to the vitality of the area.
